My Lord thy divine image
Is an awesome wonder to my sight
Mould this child of yours
Completely as thou art

Can he who has seen thee-
The essence of love, live without loving
Let the light of thy love shine on me Lord,
That it may always lead me to thee.

Though thou art the only Son of God
Thou lived as if a servant and died as if a sinner
Oh! Let such humility prevail within me
Just as it is in thee

Thou art the one who bore
The cross that only the sinners deserved
Give me also the strength to forgive
Than to retaliate

Thou art the one who carried out
Everything that the Father wished for
Let my actions also be
In accordance with the Father’s will

Thou stayed awake and prayed
Grant me also thy grace
To avoid slumber and to pray

Thou art the one who always hated
Evil ways and hypocrisy; so let
The innocence of that of a child
Treasure within me always

Teach me the secrets of thy Word
Just as thou had taught in Synagogues
And make my heart firm by sowing
The seeds of wisdom and faith within me, Amen!
