The Hardest Word to Say

Thought of posting two of the poems that I wrote while I was studying, can't call it poems but just some thoughts. So here it goes...

The Hardest Word to Say

Among a crowd of acquaintance I viewed round
To see a smile or hear a kind word
Her innocent smile and caring words
Without delays I realized I found my friend

All alone in a lonely place I yearned
For love or comfort
His gracious love & blessed comfort
Without delays I realized I found my brother.

In the midst of trouble, about to drown I cried loud
For a word of assurance or a helping hand
His encouraging words and bruised hands
Without delays I realized I found my God.

But days later my friend said “Goodbye!”
Months later my brother said “Goodbye!”
And all I could do was wish back a tearful “Goodbye!”
With a heart that weighed more than bearable
Without delays I realized I found the hardest word to say - “Goodbye!”

Left all alone I sat back and thought, when a voice said
“Though years pass by I will never leave you.”
His rays of love touched me that opened my eyes and saw God.
Without delays I realized I found my everlasting company

World gave and took back and left a vacant space in my heart
But God gave and filled that vacant space.

So now I pray to gain courage
To utter the hardest word
The Word that never existed and never further will
Between me and my God
Cause GOD can never and will never say - “GOODBYE!”
