I AM WITH YOU

Cradled in his arms my forehead sensed
A nimble touch of his sweet lips
Cuddled inside his chest my ears heard
A sweet song of his serene spirit

I sensed my Lord’s presence with me
In the midst of a lonely and morose night
Come to wipe away my tears and to
Whisper in my ears “I am with you”

A vision or a reality my heart wondered?
Easing the crunching ache within me
Am I so privileged to experience
This feeling of divine ecstasy

No worldly relations, no pleasures on earth
Nothing of this universe could ever match
This bliss of resting on my Lord’s chest
This paradise of heavenly embrace

Let my sorrows prolong its voyage,
Let the dire circumstances maintain
If it means to bring me closer to your side,
Father, to sense your divine love and embrace.
