Treasures of Darkness

Isaiah 45:3

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

This is such a strong promise of God. I don't think I will ever completely understand the meaning of this verse how much ever I may read it. The more we sit over it the more it will amaze us. The Lord says that He will give us the treasures of darkness. O! Do we ever think about the blessings that we must have received out of our dark days? There is always a bright new morning at the end of a dark and lonely night. Same way God is counting all our tears and there will be a day of rejoicing after a long journey of sorrow. He says He will give us treasures out of our darkness, which means that He promises us that though we are suffering now He is doing something good out of it and that's why we say that God does all for good. It's true, though our dark days seem rough now we can rest assured that God will give us a reward at the end of it all which will be more than what we could have imagined.

Isaiah 45:2 says, "I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron" Our God is such an awesome God who will go before us and lead us through the dark roads of our life's journey and He will make our paths straight for us. For sure Christian journey is not easy. It's full of obstacles but what should we fear when our God is there before us to break free all the obstacles and to prepare a clear path for us. And even in the midst of these obstacles He will give us rejoicing if we have faith in Him. It is just like closing our eyes and walking straight with complete faith that the path before us is clear. Wow! What an experience. The true Christian experience is so great. I have no words to explain. And I know that what I have experienced is so less and can't imagine how marvelous it will be to experience it completely. Lord help us to experience it to its fullest.

I am such a sinner and still your word O Lord says that you have called me by name. What am I Lord that you have given me such a great privilege? The Lord says that He will go before us and make our paths straight and even out of our dark days He will bring forth treasures so that we will know that the Lord who has called us by name is GOD, the God of the whole Universe and all Creations. Yes He is the Almighty the all-powerful the awesome God. None is like You Father. We praise you alone. Yes Lord walk before us and lead us. No one else is worthy other than you. Lord in the midst of our sorrow reveal thy hidden treasures and help us to hold on to you forever. Thank you so much for calling us by name. Break us free from all the obstacles that lay in front of us that obstruct us from being faithful to you. Thank you Lord for this great promise that you have given us. Amen!
